In the R&D department, the main challenge is to create strong knowledge in different technologies, which can allow the development of new advanced products with great added value.

The R&D department has the following structure:

- Equipments and products

The activity of this department embrace the project and development of hardware for products which can be integrated in larger networks or developed according to special client needs. To achieve that, this department is equipped with the necessary competencies in hardware, firmware, protocols and signalling, supported by a CAD (Computer Aided Design) group.

- Application Software 

The activity of this department embraces the project and development of software applications for network management, integrating other applications like videosurveillance and public information. This department is equipped with the necessary competencies in network arquitectures, management platforms, videosurveillance systems and public information systems.

- Release and Homologation

The activity of this department is concerned with the test and validation of products and all of their technical documentation, guaranteeing technical support during the industrialisation phase and products commercial release.
