Description

The MUX2000 is a multi-service access multiplexer featuring voice, data, video, Ethernet and IP over E1. The operation and configuration of a wide range of line and tributary interfaces provided by a single, powerful SNMP management platform, allows a seamlessly integration with telecom operators multi-service networks and corporate voice/data networks.

 

Applications

ENT's MUX2000 offers a wide range of data, ISDN, Ethernet and voice services. Many interfaces are available on the tributary links for compatibility with digital data services worldwide, ranging from V.35, V.36/V.11, V.24/RS-232, X.21, Nx64 kbit/s codirectional, E&M to POTS and ISDN. At the aggregate level, the multiplexer provides multiple line interfaces, E1 G.703/G.704, HDSL for copper cables, Fibre optic and spread spectrum radio.


The MUX2000 flexible configuration as Terminal Multiplexer, Add&Drop or Drop&Continue, allows several network topologies. The 10BaseT Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) interface and the ability of IP routing over E1, enables LAN interconnection and equipment configuration through a browser-like application. 

The operation and management of the MUX2000 can be done locally through the configuration application InLoCo_2000, via serial and/or Ethernet port, or remotely through the Network Management System INOSSV2 - Integrated Network Operations Support System, based on SNMP. Remote management is supported through Ethernet-based out-of-band interface or in-band over E1.

The redundant configuration (processing, power supply and transmission) in conjunction with powerful processing, enables a high level of availability of both equipment and provided services.
